Pavilion users can utilize the two-lane, one-eighth-mile track for jogging or walking; basketball courts for open play during regular operating hours; volleyball courts and a limited indoor tennis court area. Coed leagues join open volleyball action with 10-player teams.
A weight room with 17 weight machines, step machines and life cycles is also available at the Armstrong Pavilion. In addition to the machines, the pavilion has equipment such as sit-up boards, chin-up bars and a dip/hip flexor station.
Assistance from pavilion staff is available for setting up an individual exercise program.
State-of-the-art equipment and qualified staff make for a quality workout. Complete shower and locker room facilities allow more opportunities for pavilion users to fit a workout into their schedules.
The Armstrong Pavilion - under the operation of the Metropolitan School District of Decatur Township - is located at 5251 Kentucky Ave., nestled between Decatur Central High School and Decatur Middle School.
